what is Somatic coaching
Somatic mindfulness coaching is a gentle, down-to-earth way of tuning into your body’s wisdom with kindness & curiosity. It’s not about fixing or figuring things out – it’s about slowing down, noticing what’s present, and learning to be with your experiences in a more connected, easeful way. Through simple body-based practices, we explore how thoughts, emotions and sensations show up, and shape your life, helping you feel more grounded, aware, and at home in yourself
what happens in a session
Each session is unique but generally follows three stages: connecting, inquiry, and integration. We begin with a grounding practice to help you settle, followed by gentle enquiry & exploration into body sensations, energies, thoughts & memories that may arise. The session closes with an integration practice to reflect on what has emerged. As your coach, I offer a safe, supportive space to reconnect with yourself and being to turn towards emotions with kindness, and discover the power of being fully present, just as you are.
Evidence Based - techniques used
techniques may include somatic exercises, breathwork, mindfulness, self-regulation practices, movement & body scans – all designed to deepen awareness & connection to your body & help you feel at ease. gentle inquiry may also be included to help uncover beliefs & habitual behaviour patterns. each method is chosen based on the individual’s needs. .
